Provincial
Peter Tabuns has been our Member of Provincial Parliament since March 2006.
Peter Tabuns has a long history of activism and advocacy in Toronto-Danforth. After winning a by-election in 2006 and re-elections in 2007 and 2011, Peter has brought fresh new ideas to Queen’s Park on creating jobs while fighting climate change; keeping people safe from toxins; and integrating new Canadians into our economy.
Peter knows Toronto-Danforth well. He was City Councillor for the Riverdale portion of the riding from 1990 to 1997. Prior to being a City Councillor he was President of Citizens for a Safe Environment and helped end garbage incineration in the Toronto Portlands. He championed housing alternatives as Vice Chair of the Co-op Housing Federation of Toronto.
